Description

Leading Orthotics Prosthetics Company is currently seeking a full-time Cast Technician/Office Assistant for our Temecula Valley location. The ideal candidate will possess the experience and/or skills to complete the following daily tasks:

Cast Tech:
Preparing and setting up a room for casting patients
Ability to cast patient as instructed after a practitioner has done an evaluation
Seal and fill casts
Modify casts per instruction.
Fit pre-fab device after practitioner has evaluated the patient.
Assist patient as needed. For example, to the auto or transportation, from the chair to the fitting table, etc
Make adjustments and repairs to the orthotic and prosthetic devices as instructed by the practitioner
Keep cast rooms clean and properly supplied
Keep sewing room clean and properly supplied
Clean cast modification area
Empty waste cans as appropriate; throw out casts at appropriate times
Transport orthotic/prosthetic devices as needed to other offices/hospitals
Shipping/receiving and inventory control
Ability to read a tape measure

Other daily tasks and skills needed to assist with the front office:
Obtaining verifying medical insurance authorizations
Preparation of daily charts
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to multi-task and problem solve
Good computer skills (are essential)
Experience with Medical Manager a plus
Spanish speaking preferred
